SSgt Pople Ride London 100 - 2 August 2015

17/3/2015

SSgt Pople took part in the London Ride 100 on 8 August 2014 which saw 25,000 amateur cyclists take on a 100 mile cycling challenge like no other through London and Surrey on a similar route to that of the London 2012 Olympic Road Cycling Races.  The Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 started at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, then travel through the capital and onto Surrey’s stunning country roads and through the Surrey Hills before a spectacular finish on The Mall in central London.

As well as an opportunity to take on a personal challenge in completing the ride, participants’ involvement will benefit good causes with thousands riding for charity. A record-breaking £10 million+ was raised for charity in 2014.

SSgt Pople rode for Blind Veterans and CLIMB (Children Living with Inherited Metabolic Diseases) which offer support to his daughter who has SWCAH.  He raised £800 in total.

He has also secured a place on the London Ride 100 2015 following the same route on 02 August 2015 and is riding for Cancer Research UK.  After both his brother and another soldier from the Regiment have been affected by Cancer recently.  He aims to exceed his total from 2014 and any help or donations would be gratefully received using the link below.
