KRH Appeal

The KRH Appeal on eBay - How do I set up to donate?

  • Assuming you are already an eBay user, log on to the site in the normal way. Across the top of the screen, select the 'Sell' tab
  • From the drop down, select the 'Sell for Charity' option. This takes you to a new page. Half way down the RHS, you will see the tab 'Charities'. Click on this and then enter "KRH" into the 'Charity Name or Keyword' box at the top of the page.  When you then click 'Search', 'The KRH Appeal' should appear quickly.  Click to 'Save as favourite'.
  • It is then possible to see a list of items already up for auction on eBay whose sale will benefit the Appeal.  When you have an item under auction on the site and you are donating to the Appeal, your item will also be visible here.

How do I then sell an item on behalf of the KRH Appeal?

  • To sell an item for the KRH Appeal, return to the homepage, click on the 'Sell' tab and from the drop down menu, click 'Sell an item'.  You now create your advert in the usual way.  In section 5 of the advert, you will have the option to select a charity which can benefit from the sale of your item. You should see 'The KRH Appeal' already listed; ensure the correct icon is selected. You can then 'Choose your donation percentage'.  From the drop down menu, you can select from 10% to 100% of the sale value to be given to charity.
  • You should then upload your advert as normal and allow the auction to run its course. At the end of the auction when the invoice is automatically generated following a successful sale, you will be able to see what value you are donating to the KRH Appeal, and this money will be passed by eBay to the charity with no further involvement from you.
Picture
In recent years, the KRH and its soldiers have conducted a number of combat operations, and as such, have incurred a number of casualties.  At the end of the year, the Regiment will assume the role of Lead Armoured Battle Group in an increasingly volatile world.  It is therefore likely that there will be more casualties, some of whom, will require caring for long into the future. The aim of the KRH Appeal is to add to the Regimental Trust in order to cater for existing and future requirements, particularly the more complex and as yet undefined psychological problems that can take years to materialize. The Appeal will allow the Regiment to make a difference to the lives of soldiers and their families who have been adversely affected by operations. The KRH Appeal is centrally controlled and held within the King's Royal Hussars’ Regimental Trust Fund, a Registered Charity Number: 1021455. This trust provides welfare grants for our soldiers and their families, both now and in the future.
Please support your Regimental family

We are a family Regiment and this appeal will only succeed with the help of the wider Regimental family and their friends. You can make a big difference to the lives of our soldiers and in these extraordinary times, they deserve nothing less!
How You Can Help

You can, of course, make a Donation or attend an Event and get others to do the same, but what we really need is help in wider fundraising so please ensure you always think of the KRH Appeal in all of your activities. We have put together a couple of documents to give you some ideas and help, please Download our Fundraising pack:

About the Appeal

The KRH Appeal is part of the King's Royal Hussars Regimental Trust Fund and designed to support soldiers and their families both past and present. Your donation will help to:

  • Support the families of those killed in action by promptly responding to problems of bereavement and hardship
  • Support those wounded or injured on operations, particularly those who have had to leave the Army; to assist in finding them new employment and to help them become active family and community members
  • Support the families of those seriously wounded or injured in prolonged recovery situations
  • Enhance the welfare support provided to soldiers on operations and that of their families at home

A great opportunity for you to make a real difference and enhance the lives of our injured soldiers, old comrades and their families.
